Wireless Weighing - Wireless Systems

New Wireless Systems

Due to the high demand for wireless systems, Massload has undertaken the re-designing of our current wireless products. The new systems will be smaller, will take very little power, can be easily connected to a host of external devices because of a wide rang of output options, and all round more reliable.

A basic system would be 2 wireless transcievers. One unit would be located on or near your scale system. The other would be located in a handheld readout, connected to a computer, or tied into a PLC. Depending on your application, the transcievers will talk to each other and transfer data back and forth at time increments that you specify. If at a later stage you want to incorporate more scales into your system, just purchase more transcievers, reconfigure the main reciever, and you will be able to switch between the wireless scales!

Spread spectrum technology, due to its noise-like nature, is great for commercial applications. It causes the least amount of interference with conventional communication equipment and also has higher immunity to interference generated by other electronic devices. Because of its superior performance against interference, the FCC allows radio equipment to transmit data with more power for a longer range if spread spectrum technology is utilized.

Spread spectrum technology is quite difficult to adapt to commercial products. It was not until advances in solid state technology during the late 1980’s that spread spectrum technology became cost-effective for commercial applications.
